Rules and regulations of the college and students discipline
 
Students should be regular and punctual in attending the classes and all activities connected with the college. Students taking leave must submit leave letters to their class-in-charge stating the reason for their absence duly signed by the parent/guardian. Leaves of more than 3 consecutive days require Principal’s permission. Also, if a student takes leave for more than seven days he/she will not be allowed into classroom, unless he/she meets the principal along with his/her parents. Students must obtain prior permission before proceeding on long leaves. Leaves due to medical conditions must be substantiated by a doctor’s certificate. Anyone who is not present in the class when attendance is taken will be marked absent. Students should not go outside the college during class hours. In the event of unavoidable necessity they should seek special permission from the Principal / Head of the Department.
 
The students should earn at least 75% of attendance to appear for University exams. Only in case of genuine and serious medical conditions an attendance concession up to 10% may be considered for students having 65% attendance by the principal. No student is allowed to enter the classroom or leave the class room during class hours without the permission of Principal.
 
Students are not permitted to go outside the college during break time except in lunch break. Students attending state / national camps / workshops / competitions have to produce the attendance certificate duly signed by the Principal immediately after the completion of the activity. Examination forms shall not be issued to students with less than 75% attendance and has to repeat the same semester next year.
 
The college insists on students wearing their ID cards in the college campus. It is mandatory that the ID card be produced in all their college transactions.
Strict silence should be maintained during class hours in the Classrooms, Library, Laboratory, Examination halls, Computer labs, Corridors and in the College premises. Students are to be polite and courteous in all their interactions with fellow students, faculty and all the college staff. 
 
Students shall not be involved in any kind of anti-social activities. No student shall bring into the college campus or hostels any banner, flag, board, notice, pamphlet or other such materials for the purpose of any political activity of student organizations or other organizations. Political activities and the functioning of student organizations are strictly banned in the Campus. Unofficial meetings, strikes, demonstrations, agitations, and fund collection are strictly prohibited. Banners, flags, posters, crackers, weapons etc. shall not be allowed inside the campus or at the gates or compound walls for the purpose of any activity without any prior permission.
 
Students who violate the above rules are liable to be dismissed from the college summarily.
 
Students must wear uniforms on prescribed occasions and working days. Students should always maintain dignity and decency in dressing. A proper Dress Code is to be strictly followed to maintain decency and decorum as the college is a co-educational institution. You are expected to abide by the rules.
 
Students coming by two wheelers are instructed to wear helmet. They should posses a valid driving license. The vehicle must be parked in the allotted space only. Vehicles shall not be parked near the gate or at the entrance to the porch. The security personnel / designated college staff are authorized to inspect the records of the vehicles entering the campus and register the details in the gate register. Stunting and racing of vehicles within and near the campus are strictly banned.
 
Mobile phone usage is strictly prohibited during class hours or in the corridors. If found being using, the cell phones will be confiscated for the academic year.
 
Staff members / Discipline committee shall have the powers to deny admission to students to classes/office/labs/library/meetings/cultural programs and other programs in the case of violation of the dress code of the college. There shall not be any discrimination against any community or category of students of the college and immediate stringent action will be taken against the erring students / officials / faculty members. Habitual negligence in college work, dishonesty, obscenity in word or act or any other acts of misconduct will attract severe disciplinary action.
 
Photography / video / audio recording and playing in the campus is strictly prohibited. Programs in the college shall be covered only by the persons officially authorized by the Principal.
 
Smoking in the campus is prohibited. No student shall use or keep in possession alcoholic drinks or drugs. Using/ keeping of these items will lead to immediate expulsion of the student from the college.
 
Students must observe strict discipline in the campus; behave with dignity and courtesy to the Principal, faculty members, administrative staff, visitors and fellow students. When a student meets a member of the teaching staff of the college within the campus or outside, it is a matter of politeness that he / she should greet him / her. Students are forbidden from writing, marking or drawing on class room furniture, walls, floor, roof etc, using ink, paint or any other materials. Mass fine will be imposed on the students of the particular class found violating this rule. Legal action will be initiated against those who destruct or cause to destruct the properties of the college under existing laws including the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act 1984.
 
Students who happen to have no class should not loiter in the corridors or campus during class hours. They must either go to the Library and read or Computer lab.
Ragging is prohibited by law. Students shall not indulge in any such activities. It is strictly banned on campus by law in force.
 
All fees (Including Tuition fees & Hostel fees) will be charged semester wise. No monthly fee payment system is permitted.
 
                                                            Disciplinary Measures
 
 
Non-compliance and violation of rules of discipline may attract disciplinary action.
 
A reprimand / warning.
 
Withdrawal from a particular class or course.
 
Suspension/Expulsion from the college.
 
Withholding of official transcripts.
 
Suspension of College privileges.
 
Other disciplinary action, which the college authorities deem appropriate under the circumstances.
 
 
* Note :   Bonafide Certificate will be issued on submitting the requisition and producing the College I.D. Card. 
               Misuse of Bonafide Certificate is an offence and will be strictly dealt with.
 
Those who intend to discontinue a particular course during the middle of the academic year or before the completion of the course will have to pay the entire course fee. The names of the students, who are either absent for a long duration or not paid the fee will be struck off from the rolls and they have to seek re-admission.
 
Students who do not follow the college rules and regulations will be expelled  
from the college.
